Mt Lincoln and Lafayette

Did the loop today, Franconia Ridge. I haven't been up here in about 20 years. Last time was with my parents and brother in 1990. This was my first time in winter. Winds today were running 50-60mph. We felt the full brunt of that up above the Greenleaf Hut. It got interesting for about 30 minutes until we got some shielding when we got behind the summit.

Conditions were powder below tree line and rime ice above, we all used snow shoes most of the day. It was relatively clear, with a bit of an undercast for awhile. 8.5 miles in 5 1/2 hours.
